Diddy Asks Ye To Give Him “Some F-ing Life” By Focusing On His Music
The phone call video shared with TSR shows the former Kanye West speaking to Diddy on a separate phone. The call appears to be on speakerphone, and only Ye’s facial expressions can be seen. From the Metro Detention Center in Brooklyn, Combs reminded Ye of his talents and encouraged him to lock into his music. West mainly listened, sprinkling a few “yeah,” “yes sir” and “I hear you” in there.
“This sh*t is wicked, wicked, wicked, so you be careful. You can’t do nothing for just…I need you out there, you feel me. And have some f**king fun n***a. We not having no fun in here n***a. Get behind the mic have fun. Chop up them samples, get back on your hit man vibe,” Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs told Ye. “Have some fun, get back to smiling. F**k these other motherf**kers. They are wasting your time B, you know what I’m saying?” Wasting your motherf*king time. So put that love in your heart, man, and enjoy yourself, man. When I get out there I want to see you f**king tear down the stadiums. Need to see you back on that stage, f**king actually rapping and f**kign performing and everything. I be dreaming of that sh*t.
At one point, West cut in and revealed that his passion for music had returned. “It’s time for me to just grab the mic and get on. It’s like I love music again. It was a time when it’s just everything was so frustrating. I can’t explain it but yeah…,” he added. Again, Sean Combs encouraged Ye to tap into his Chicago beat-making days.
“Jump into your bag man. We gonna have years and decades to fight these motherf**kers. Right now, enjoy your life. This is coming from me, from God to you. Enjoy your life. Fall back in love like when you was making the beats in the Chi….”
