More Details Regarding The Singer's Plea Deal

According to TMZ, Trey Songz pled guilty to a “single disorderly conduct violation” in connection to the alleged incident on Tuesday.

In turn, prosecutors reportedly agreed to dismiss ten original charges against the singer. The original charges included assault and aggravated harassment.

In addition to pleading guilty to disorderly conduct, the singer must complete 12 anger management classes by August.

The outlet reported that Songz has already started the process. Furthermore, the singer is also looking to put the matter “behind him,” per a statement from his attorney Mitchell Schuster.

“We appreciate the New York law enforcement and the District Attorney’s office for their comprehensive investigation and careful consideration of all evidence, which ultimately confirmed what we had known all along and resulted in the District Attorney’s office choosing not to pursue any of the original charges against our client. With each and every one of the 10 original charges now dismissed by operation of law, Trey looks forward to putting this matter behind him.”

More Details Regarding The Alleged October 2022 Incident

As The Shade Room previously reported, Trey Songz voluntarily turned himself in to authorities in December 2022.

Despite the singer being released from custody, information surfaced accusing Songz of being the attacker in an October 2022 bowling alley altercation.

According to reports, Songz was accused of punching a woman in the face in a bowling alley bathroom. Then, dragging the woman by her hair.

After the incident, the woman allegedly received treatment at a hospital, where police say the woman had “visible minor injuries.”

However, the accusations didn’t end there. After news of Songz voluntarily turning himself in became public, a second male victim came forward and alleged the singer punched him in the eye.

According to The Shade Room, it remained unclear what prompted the alleged physical altercations.

At the time, Songz’s attorney remained confident that his client would be “cleared” of wrongdoing.

“We have been proactively communicating with NY law enforcement, the DA, and all those involved. While we will respectfully and proactively work through all the appropriate channels, we are confident that Trey will be fully cleared of any wrong doing.”
