Allison Holker faced criticism after the recent PEOPLE Magazine interview about her late husband, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, and his alleged drug addiction. However, her daughter, Weslie Renae Fowler has jumped in to defend her. Holker was already a mom to Fowler before marrying tWitch, who later adopted her. Together, Boss and Holker also share two children, Maddox Laurel and Zaia.
Weslie Fowler Defends Her Mom Amid Backlash Over Comments About tWitch
In videos shared by The Shade Room from Weslie Fowler’s Instagram livestream, she speaks openly about everything, from the current state of her family after Stephen “tWitch” Boss tragically died by suicide in December 2022. Additionally, she firmly stood by her mom, Allison Holker, after Allison went viral for discussing Boss’ alleged drug use.
During the stream, Weslie made it clear that her mom never called Stephen “tWitch” Boss “an addict.” However, se called out trolls for twisting her mother’s comments about Boss. She explained that tWitch took on a fatherly role in their household, especially for her, by teaching her valuable lessons. She also shared that he was always open and vulnerable with her, even admitting that “he smoked weed.”
“Also my mom’s not calling him a terrible person for smoking weed. But when you have two years after somebody committed suicide to sit here and question every interaction you had, every single thing they did, obviously my mom is like maybe I should’ve paid more attention to him smoking a lot of weed, maybe that was a sign. That’s not my mom saying that he was a terrible person,” Fowler explained.
Weslie emphasized that her mom never tried to push a negative narrative about tWitch. She added that Boss allegedly felt ashamed of how much he smoked weed, but since he was open about it, they never saw it as “a red flag.”
Weslie also revealed that many people don’t realize tWitch’s stepfather allegedly died by suicide. She explained that the tragedy deeply affected him, and he often spoke about how much it shaped his life.
“He would talk about how much it impacted him. I think it was hurtful when he left, because now I’m in the same position he was in. It’s a big deal. I have so much empathy for him, because of it. But I’m realizing how much he went through,” Weslie said.
Weslie Discusses Her Family’s Dynamic After tWitch’s Passing
Weslie Fowler also opened up about her current relationship with tWitch’s family. She revealed that she’s spent more time with his family more now than when he was alive. Before his death, she said she only saw them once or twice a year because they lived in different states.
“And things happen, like we literally live in another state. It’s not like we’re neighbors and we could just see them whenever we wanted. Now, my mom is constantly making an effort so that the kids are apart of their lives.”
However, Weslie admitted she doesn’t put much effort into staying connected with tWitch’s family, explaining that she feels “disrespected” by them.
“I don’t make the effort, but that’s just how I am. I feel disrespected by them, so I’m not going to talk to them,” Fowler explained.

Weslie added that Boss’ mom as well as his brother’s and sisters, her uncles and aunts used to text her at times, but she no longer keeps in touch with them. Weslie chose to distance herself because of past comments they made on social media about “blood being thicker than water,” which she views as a jab at her and her mom.
“If you don’t see me as Stephen’s daughter that’s cool. I know for a fact that’s never how he saw it and it’s literally just [hurtful].

Weslie Gets Real About Alleged Drama Surrounding tWitch's Funeral
Weslie explained that tWitch’s funeral wasn’t peaceful, as the day was filled with drama. She said people were yelling at each other, and her mother was also being attacked during the difficult time.
“That’s a day that was taken from her and she can’t remember it as being the day that we all wanted it to be, because his family was making it otherwise.”
Weslie also shared that the day of the funeral deeply affected her, as she had to say goodbye to someone she loved. It also hurt her to watch her mom go through so much during that time.
“It’s a different type of hurt, because it’s people we’re suppose to love and value. And yet, they are constantly doing things, that make me see them as less. They are the ones impacting that image. But they’re also the ones taking it onto social media. I just don’t get it.”

Stephen "tWitch" Boss' Mother Reacts To Allison Holker's Claims
Before Weslie Fowler broke down everything surrounding tWitch, his mother, Connie Boss Alexander, spoke out after Allison made claims about his drug use.
As TSR previously reported, Alexander shared a lengthy statement on Jan. 9 addressing the “hurtful claims” made about her son and also calling out publications for spreading lies.
“Our family is absolutely appalled by the misleading and hurtful claims made about my son, Stephen Boss. The recent publications spreading untruths about Stephen have crossed every line of decency,” she wrote. “As his mother, I will not let these accusations go unanswered. We will not stand by while his name and legacy are tarnished. He doesn’t deserve this, and the kids don’t deserve this.”
Alexander also shared that she has stayed quiet since tWitch’s passing and kept a low profile for her family’s sake.
“My primary focus has been on healing and attempting to remain connected to my grandchildren,” she continued. “But when I read these dreadful claims about my baby, our beloved Stephen, I realized I could not stay silent any longer.”
