According to HotNewHipHop, Lloyd and Ashanti took the stage at the Met Philadelphia on Sunday, May 19. On May 10, Lloyd had taken to Instagram to promote the event, which also featured fellow R&B artist Mya.

After his and Ashanti’s performance, Lloyd took to Instagram to share a snapshot of their performance. Additionally, the singer shared a sweet message for Ashanti’s unborn child.
“Dear Baby Haynes, you are surrounded by love, by good energy, and by ppl who have prayed for your piece of mind way before you were born,” he wrote. “One day I will tell you of the times I got to sing to you while still in your mothers belly, of how your mommy changed my life, and of how your dad was there for me when I needed a little love and guidance.”
Lloyd ended his message by explaining that he can’t wait to meet Baby Haynes and make them laugh.

As The Shade Room previously reported, Ashanti revealed that she was expecting her first child on April 17. At the time, she posted a clip on social media, playfully explaining that she needed nine months to prepare for something major.
On that same day, the singer doubled up with the announcements. In an interview with Essence, the 43-year-old revealed that she and Nelly were engaged, per The Shade Room.
“This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation,” she explained. “Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancee, and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience.”
