Man Calls Out For Justice After He Claims He Was Brutally Beaten By Officers In Stockton

Jacob Angelo Servin took to social media on Tuesday to show his injuries as he called out for justice after he claims he was brutally beaten by officers in Stockton, CA.

He said, “Never in a million years did I ever think that I would be the victim of a racist hate crime. Yesterday 3 racist county sheriffs from Stockton held me down, beat me, choked me, kicked me and tried to snap my neck, with their fists and batons one by one for a long period of time while I was yelling and yelling for them to stop.”

He spoke with Fox 40 in more detail about the incident and revealed that he was taken into police custody on Sunday after he was pulled from his vehicle by two officers after leaving Basil’s bar on Grand Canal Boulevard with his girlfriend. According to the station the police department reports he was arrested around 11pm for suspicion of public intoxication. He was taken to San Joaquin County Jail where he was turned over to custody officers.

Officers reportedly claimed there were no visible injuries. However, Jacob said the officers started using racist language against him, and he was not going to remain silent about it. The Sheriff’s office did say that he was “combative” during the booking process. Jacob claims that’s when he was taken to a closed-off area where he was held down and beaten.

Jacob continued to detail the incident in his social media post and said, “They left me to die with my face disfigured a broken nose, lacerations in my face and head tons of bruises all over my body with a huge loss of blood. I am barely able to walk on my own due to the amount of damage done to my whole body and the injuries my bones have sustained by these ugly hearted people.”

According to Fox 40, Jacob denied the medical treatment that was offered to him at the jail due to his fear.

The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office said to Fox 40 in a statement, “The administrative process has started and this is an active investigation.”

Michael Tubbs, the mayor of Stockton also spoke out in response to the incident and said on Jacob’s post, “So sorry this happened to you. Unacceptable.”
