A Texas man is currently facing a murder charge following the deadly shooting of his wife, Markeita McCleary.
According to NBCDFW, Ashton Neroes, 28, was arrested and charged with murder in connection to the shooting of his wife. The shooting took place on Sunday around 5:34 p.m. in the 1700 block of Oates Drive in Mesquite, east of Interstate Loop 635 and north of Interstate 30.
Mesquite is a suburban area located east of Dallas, TX.
When authorities arrived at the scene they found Markeita, 28, with multiple gunshot wounds. She was taken to the hospital where she was announced deceased. Ashton was arrested and charged with murder, he is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.

At the moment, police have not released any details on the motive for the shooting. However, the investigation into the incident is currently ongoing. Photos on social media show that the couple shared children together as well.
