As people continue to rally around Megan Thee Stallion after she said she was shot by Tory Lanez, many wondered why her best friend Kelsey Nicole was strangely silent on the issue.
After all, Kelsey Nicole was the other person who made up Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez’s trio the night of Meg’s shooting.
There have been rumors that Megan and Kelsey had a falling out since the shooting, and while neither girl has addressed their friendship directly, it appears that on Tuesday they finally decided to hit that unfollow button on Instagram.
With Tory Lanez denying that he shot Megan, Kelsey’s silence has raised a lot of questions as many fans believe she is the witness that will be the deciding factor of who is actually telling the truth.
There are also many who feel that Megan speaking up and telling her truth is enough, speaking to a movement across social media that calls for the protection of Black women, especially when they speak out about violence.
Kelsey may not be saying much, but a message she posted on IG story Tuesday appeared to address the people who have sent supportive messages to her during the drama, as Megan Thee Stallion fans have also expressed their anger with Kelsey for what they feel like was a lack of support for Megan following the shooting.
“To those that have sent me positive messages THANK YOU, it doesn’t go unnoticed! I appreciate y’all,” Kelsey said.
While Megan continues to heal, many are also looking to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office to see what its next move will be.
Tory Lanez is scheduled to appear in court on October 13th in relation to his arrest but no official charges have been filed. We’ll keep you posted on any updates.
