Megan Thee Stallion Wins Big, Jazmine Sullivan Shuts The Stage Down, Cardi B Makes A Big Announcement & Lil Nas X Leaves People Talking At The 2021 BET Awards!

Roommates, A LOT went down at this year’s BET Awards, as not only did the A-list celebrities come out to celebrate #BlackExcellence, they also tore up the stage and went home with multiple trophies. Among the standouts at the 2021 BET Awards, included Cardi B confirming that she’s expecting baby number two, Jazmine Sullivan setting the stage on fire, Lil Nas X shocking fans with an unexpected kiss and Megan Thee Stallion practically winning every award of the night.

While fans have been speculating for months, Cardi B finally confirmed that she and Offset are expecting their second child during the Migos’ performance. After Offset, Quavo and Takeoff did their thing, Cardi came out in a sequin jumpsuit with a sheer panel on the mid-section to show off her baby bump.

The performances at this year’s BET Awards were top-notch, however fans were absolutely blown away by Jazmine Sullivan’s performance. She started things off with an intro from Maxine Waters before launching into her solo set—but when Ari Lennox joined the stage with her, things got lit! The two performed their amazing duet “Sit On It” and the vocals were top-tier all the way.

Perhaps the most viral moment of the night belonged to none other than Lil Nas X. During his performance of “Call Me By Your Name,” which paid homage to the iconic Michael Jackson’s “Remember The Time” video, he ended his performance with an intense and explicit French kiss with one of his male dancers…and social media went absolutely nuts!

As for the winners, H.E.R., Jazmine Sullivan, Lil Baby, Giveon and Cardi each won awards, but the biggest winner of the night was definitely Megan Thee Stallion, who walked away with three awards, Video of the Year, Best Female Hip Hop Artist and Viewer’s Choice.

To close out the show, there was a touching tribute to the late DMZ, featuring Method Man, Swizz Beatz, Busta Rhymes and actor Michael K. Williams.

We have to say, this was one of the best BET Award shows in the last few years!
