Let’s make one thing clear: Mia Thornton is not engaged. At least, that’s what a source close to the ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ star told The Shade Room.
Fans began speculating Mia was prepping to walk down the aisle (again) after she popped out with a ring on one finger and her legs wrapped around somebody’s son! She captioned the Dec. 31 post, “4.4.4. #2024 Let’s go,” adding a white heart emoticon.
The photo shows a smiling Mia Thornton near the back door of a black truck. Meanwhile, a man dressed in a graphic, black hoodie faces her while clutching — what looks like — Mia’s forbidden cheeks!

Though she kept the man’s face hidden, fans immediately noted that the man wasn’t her estranged husband, Gordon Thornton.
In September, Mia Thornton confirmed to PEOPLE that she and Gordon had “separated,” but it was unclear if she planned to file for divorce. The announcement came ahead of the new season premiere of ‘RHOP,’ whose trailer depicted Mia declaring she had once “obtained a divorce lawyer.”
“Like all marriages, ours has had its ups and downs. At this time, Gordon and I are separated, but my family is my number one priority, and I am committed to doing whatever it takes to make sure we are okay. We ask that you respect our privacy and give us the time and space to make sure we are okay.”
At the time that Mia confirmed their separation, the estranged couple had been married for 11 years. They wed in March 2012 and share two children together and one child each from former relationships.

So, the second thing that’s clear is Mia Thornton did not spin the block on her estranged hubby. However, our source says her ‘new man’ isn’t really all that new.
The mystery man happens to be radio personality Incognito, and his history with Mia dates back to their childhood. They were allegedly high school sweethearts who reconnected in 2023 amid the end of their long-term relationships. Our source adds that his relationship “ended over a year ago” while Mia is “still going through the divorce.”
It’s unclear when their rekindled romance began. However, our source recalled seeing Mia Thornton and Incognito attending a wedding together last summer — before Mia’s separation announcement. TSR reviewed and confirmed a selfie of the couple in attendance (not seen above.)
And if you’re wondering about the giant rock on Mia’s ring finger and the date in her caption? Our source confirmed Incognito gifted Mia the ring, but not as an engagement one. However, their romance could be heading “in that direction when the time is right.”
As for the 4.4.4. date, the alleged couple defines it as a “symbol of love and wholeness” and “new romantic beginnings.” Additionally, the three digits boast a spiritual significance, representing a transition from one stage of life to another.
No word yet on how Gordon is taking Mia Thornton’s Instagram debut of her romance with Incognito!
