Mo’Nique is sharing how her friend and fellow comedian Katt Williams assisted her co-star Yvette Wilson in the years before her passing.

Here’s What Mo’Nique Revealed About Katt Williams
According to Blavity, on March 7, Mo’Nique and her husband, Sidney Hicks, took to Instagram Live. During the stream, the couple took a moment to share some kind words about Williams.
“I want to say this about our brother Katt Williams,” Mo’Nique told viewers. “Through the years, I would always hear things, ‘OK, he won’t show up shows, he ain’t this, he ain’t that.’ That’s one of the purest cats in this game.”
As the conversation continued, Mo’Nique revealed that Williams took care of Yvette Wilson, her co-star on ‘The Parkers’ after she was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer and kidney disease, per Black Enterprise.
Blavity reports that a crowdfunding campaign was created to collect donations for Wilson’s medical bills. However, the campaign only raised 56% of its $25,000 goal.
According to Mo’Nique, that’s when Katt Williams “stepped in.”
“I know stories about this brother. And I said to Katt, ‘Do you mind if I share this?’ And he said, ‘Monique, I can’t stop you from saying what you want to say,” the comedian explained per REVOLT. “For the ones that talk ill about Katt Williams and all he’s not doing, they can’t touch him because there was a woman named Yvette Wilson, who played Andell on ‘The Parkers,’ and when Andell took ill, it was a man named Katt Williams who just stepped in and took care of that sister until she left this earth.”
Blavity reports that Wilson met Williams in 2005. The actor and comedian passed away in 2012.

However, that’s only one of the many good deeds that Williams has been behind. As The Shade Room previously reported, Williams sat down for an exclusive interview with Shannon Sharpe in January.
To date, their conversation has garnered over 62 million views.
During their sitdown, Sharpe asked Williams about paying his own money for singer and actress Melba Moore to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
In response, Williams shared that he wanted Moore to receive her “flowers” after triumphing over the challenges she faced as a Black woman in the industry.
“The truth of the matter is, they wanted to give me a star. But please don’t consider me if this person has been waiting on this list the whole time and just ’cause they ain’t got enough money, they can’t get their just due,” he told Sharpe. “That’s crazy. That’s hurtful. What if somebody can’t afford their flowers? You mean they don’t get them? No, God don’t operate like that. He will send a dummy like me to come and take care of that. Just so that the right thing happens – that’s how the universe works.”

But That’s Not All
During his interview with Sharpe, Williams was also asked about his decision to become an adoptive father to seven kids.
“You adopted seven kids. Why? That’s a lot of kids — for a man that’s as busy as you are, travels as much as you do, [is] on the road as much as you are, spends a lot of time — I mean, it’s not easy. Maybe it just so comes so natural to you… but that’s a lot of responsibility, Katt,” Sharpe told Williams.
In response, Williams shared another humble answer.
