Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Have Reportedly Trademarked The “Sussex Royal” Brand In Preparation For Their Step Down

Roommates, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle threw the royals for a loop when they announced they would be stepping down from their role as senior royals. Since then, their wax figures have been relocated from the royal family exhibit, and people across England have been pretty critical of their move.

It looks like they have no worries, though, as they have reportedly been trademarking their “Sussex Royal” brand in preparation for their exit, Page Six reports. As we previously reported, Harry and Meghan decided they would be financially independent from the royal family, and it looks like they have everything figured out!

Harry and Meghan have reportedly trademarked the brand on more than 100 properties in the United Kingdom, including clothing, stationary, photographs, and educational and charitable donations. The brand is reportedly predicted to bring in over $500 million!

Many have come out in support of Harry and Meghan, including Oprah, who spoke frankly about what they choose to do from here on out.

“I care about them both and support whatever decision they make for their family,” Oprah said in a statement. And though it has been reported that Oprah has advised the couple about building their own brand, Oprah adds, “Meg and Harry do not need my help figuring out what is best for them.”

Although they have not explicitly stated why they have chosen to step down, conclusions can be drawn based on how Meghan has been received by the royal family and the United Kingdom. In an interview for a documentary last year, Harry spoke about the pressure his family was under.

Sadly, he also said he thinks about his mother, PrincessDiana, “every single time I see a camera…every time I see a flash.”

As of now, there has been no word on what the Sussex’ next move will be after the relocate to North America, but we wish them all the best!
