Princess Love is opening up about her previous romance with Floyd Mayweather and sharing why they went their separate ways. Additionally, Love is opening up about why she’s officially calling things quits with Ray J.

Princess Love Opens Up About Previous Romance With Floyd Mayweather
On Tuesday, January 21, Carlos King released an exclusive interview with Love via YouTube. About 14 minutes into the sitdown, Love reflected on entering the entertainment industry by way of her romance with Mayweather.
Furthermore, she explained that their relationship began platonically but eventually grew into a romance.
“The Floyd that I know was the Floyd that didn’t have access to all these crazy things — like, I got to know Floyd when he was at his most vulnerable time,” Love explained. “…That’s the Floyd that I fell in love with, but when he got out [of jail,] I met the real Floyd.”
At that time, Love explained that her and Mayweather’s friendship was solid, and he was providing for her financially in more ways than anyone has to date.
“He was doing a lot for me,” she said. “More than anybody has ever done… he bought me a brand new car, he bought me an apartment…”

Despite this, Love said she began to notice that many females had access to Mayweather or were part of his entourage. Eventually, Love became uncomfortable, “and that’s when the truth came out.”
“‘I can have as many women as I can afford,'” Love recalled Mayweather allegedly saying to her. “And he didn’t lie about it, so I couldn’t do nothing but respect it.”
Ultimately, Love explained that at that point in her life, she wanted to start a family. However, Mayweather did not want to settle down in that way. Eventually, she grew unhappy with their romance and, around the same time, met Ray J, who appeared to be on the same page as her.
Nonetheless, despite their separation, Love explained that Mayweather is “one of the best people” she’s ever met.

As The Shade Room previously reported, Love revealed that she and Ray J had come to the decision to divorce — for a fourth time — in February 2024. In April of that year, Ray reportedly responded to her filing with a request for them to share legal and physical custody of their two kids.
Then, earlier this month, Ray revealed that he and Love are now legally separated. Additionally, he shared that “sometimes” she wants to fully call things quit. However, he would like to stay married, per The Shade Room.

While speaking to King, Love explained why she’s over her romance with Ray and sticking to her vow to divorce.
“I feel like this time is different from other times because this time, I didn’t do it out of anger,” she said. “…I was in a place in my life to where I was like, ‘All these dudes, they all lie [so] I might as well be with the father of my kids.’ But I’m like, no, I don’t deserve that. I deserve to be happy, and if being happy is by myself, then so be it.”
Ultimately, Love explained that she and Ray “live two totally different lifestyles” and likened their relationship to “roommates” or an open marriage.
