Surprise! Quavo is a dad of two! The rapper recently revealed that he has a son and a daughter, just one day after introducing his baby girl to the world. During a Spotify conversation with Yung Miami, Quavo confirmed that hes a father and shared that his two children are a boy and a girl.
During a recent sit-down with Yung Miami, Quavo opened up about fatherhood and revealed a detail that caught fans by surprise. Miami asked the rapper directly, Is it true that youre a father? to which he simply replied, Yes, I am a father.
Miami then followed up by asking how many children he has. Quavo revealed, I have a boy and I have a girl, adding, Its a blessing. Ive been waiting for that for a minute. The 35-year-olds revelation came as a surprise to fans who believed his daughter was his first child. Earlier this week, Quavo shared a glimpse of his baby girl in visuals for his upcoming album, ‘QRMELIFE,’ leading several outlets to report that she was his first child.
Quavo also opened up about why fatherhood is especially meaningful to him. He shared that his own father died when he was four years old, which has made being present for his children a major priority. I just want to be present all times. I just want to be there… to be the man, he said.
The rapper also admitted that becoming a father has challenged him to step up, be more responsible, and manage his emotions. Quavo previously told Complex that fatherhood has given him a new reason to keep going and described his daughter as bringing out his soft part.
Folks quickly ran to TSRs Instagram comment section to weigh in on Quavos surprise reveal, and the comments started piling up. Some joked that the rapper pulled a Drake on everybody, while others felt Quavo doesnt owe the public details about his personal life.
