It was a weekend filled with wedding bliss! Three celebrity couples, including Robin Roberts, Kimberly Elise, and Derrick Rose, recently tied the knot and announced their life development on social media this past weekend.

Robin Roberts Marries Amber Laign After 18 Years Together
Good Morning America‘s Robin Roberts announced the development in her relationship with Amber Laign on Sunday (Sept. 10). The morning show host said they wed in their backyard in a private ceremony. Her post included two photos of them wearing white halter-neck gowns designed by Badgley Mischka.
“An intimate, magical wedding ceremony in our backyard followed by a joyous reception…ohhhh the dancing!! We are immensely grateful to all for making it a day and a night to remember. Honeymoon here we come!”
GMA reports that Roberts’ childhood pastor officiated their union on Friday (Sept. 8). The outlet also says a garden-themed ceremony complete with a dance floor, custom bar, and tunes by DJ Valentina.

Robin Roberts first announced her plans to wed Amber in January. However, the couple have been dating since 2005 — approximately 18 years.
No word yet on where Robin and Amber plan to honeymoon. But, leading up to the wedding day, Roberts declared that she and her wife already have what most want.
“Many people go into marriage hoping for and looking for what Amber and I already know we gave, and so ours is a celebration. We’ve been living our happily ever after through all the ups and downs, so it’s a celebration.”
Kimberly Elise Weds George McCrary Less Than A Year After Being Introduced
Kimberly Elise is now married after a whirlwind romance she says God designed. Elise tied the knot with George McCrary last month on Aug. 19.
Elise’s pastor introduced them last winter season, and the pair got engaged after “a beautiful courtship.”
“We made a covenant of holy matrimony before our closest friends, family, and most importantly before God. The Lord has blessed us with each other, and we are so excited to bring Him glory in our life together,” Elise wrote in an Instagram feed caption.
Her post also included a video showing the moment George proposed and a shocked, smiling Elise saying yes. It also displayed engagement and wedding day photos. Kimberly wore a white lace gown with a v-neck cut and an updo.
“It’s so amazing because we were both quietly living our individual lives and in obedience to God with no idea that love was around the corner. After we met, we soon knew God’s hand of providence brought us to one another. One never knows the plans YHWH has for our lives, but without a doubt, His are always the best plans! All glory to God! Love, Mr. and Mrs. George E., and Kimberly Elise McCrary,” she wrote.
The remainder of her caption detailed Bible verses related to God’s plan for an individual. Elise shared the post on Sept. 9, which has garnered over 52,000 likes.
Derrick Rose And Alaina Anderson Tie The Knot In Lavish Ceremony
Derrick Rose and the mother of his children, Alaina Anderson, were engulfed in luxury at their wedding ceremony this past weekend.
Anderson shared the first photos of their big day via Instagram on Saturday (Sept. 9). She rocked a shimmery white gown with a veil, while Derrick wore an all-black tux white no shirt under his suit jacket. The post included photos of the pair inside and outside the ceremony space, with their children and wedding party.

Anderson and Rose have reportedly been dating since 2016. They’ve since welcomed two children, five-year-old Layla Malibu Rose and four-year-old London Marley. Rose is also father to PJ from a previous relationship with Mieka Reese.
According to PEOPLE, Derrick proposed to Alaina in October 2021 during a private dinner at the Madison Square Garden. Alaina previously said she was under the impression they were attending a Knicks team party.
Rose no longer has an Instagram, but at the time of the engagement, he reportedly posted about knowing they would be together after first seeing Alaina.
“I didn’t know how you were going to perceive me. But this entire time, I was hoping that you would believe me. Believe the words that I will have your back and love u forever.”
