On Wednesday, Shay Johnson took to social media to express her appreciation for life as she revealed to her followers that she was involved in a car accident a few weeks ago.
In the post, she shared a video where she documented the scary moment from the moment the accident happened. The video started with Shay sitting in the passenger’s seat, as she explained how she felt at that moment. In the video, the airbag is completely visible near the passenger window.
The video then cuts to her being taken away by the ambulance while on the stretcher. She continued to document the incident while she received treatment in the emergency room.

In her caption for the video, she said, “Some weeks ago I was in a car accident both cars were totaled but I’m good. I’ve never been in an accident before so I was shook. Took me a min to post this but as you can see this accident could have been worse. I was the only one who went to the hospital. I was there forever but left with a concussion, cuts, arm sprung and bruises NOTHING WAS BROKEN!!”
She also left her followers with an important message and said, “Tomorrow is not promised peeps so stay prayed up and DRIVE SAFE.”
Many of you may remember Shay as reality TV veteran as she appeared on the second season of VH1’s “Flavor of Love.” She also appeared on “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta,” before transitioning over to “Love & Hip Hop Miami.”
