Ex Hides In Closet For Romantic “Surprise” As Tragedy Strikes When Girlfriend Returns Home

Things turned deadly in Converse, Texas, over the weekend when Shiateek De-Shean Wilson snuck into his ex-girlfriends home and allegedly confronted her new boyfriend. The shocking early-morning shooting has left neighbors and friends reeling, as authorities piece together how a night meant for a surprise ended in tragedy. And, the aftermath has left the community stunned.

23-Year-Old Accused Of Killing Girlfriends New Love

According to court records, 23-year-old Wilson was taken into custody and charged with one count of murder in the death of 35-year-old Noel Denzel Miller. Deputies with the Bexar County Sheriffs Office were called to a home on Roveen Trail early Sunday morning after reports of a shooting. And, first responders found Miller lying on a bed in an upstairs room and suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Furthermore, he was pronounced dead on the scene.

Woman Finds Boyfriend Shot, Ex Flees With Phone

The victims girlfriend, and Wilson’s ex, has not been publicly identified. However, the anonymous woman told investigators that she and Miller had returned home around 2 a.m. Sunday after going out. While she went to take a shower, Miller went to the laundry room and thats when the nightmare began. She reportedly heard gunshots moments later and found Miller injured on the bed. In the doorway stood Wilson, holding a handgun, and he allegedly made comments about her playing games. Additionally, he fled the scene with her cellphone.

Fatal Encounter Sparks Self-Defense Claim

Shiateek De-Shean Wilson allegedly admitted to shooting Miller in an interview with detectives but claimed it was self-defense, saying Miller pulled a gun on him. According to the affidavit, Wilson told police he arrived at the home around 1 a.m., intending to surprise his ex with flowers, money, and cocaine. When she wasnt home, he hid in a closet until she returned and thats when the fatal confrontation occurred. As he ran from the scene, Wilson reportedly jumped fences and discarded the weapon. Investigators found multiple fired cartridge casings and bullet holes inside the home.

Furthermore, Wilson is currently held at the Bexar County Jail on a $300,000 bond. Authorities have not yet announced his next court date.
