So get this, a California woman ended up leaving a load of cash at…an Applebee’s!
Erica Gonzalez and her mother had the task of taking her dads life savings to the bank to be put into a safety deposit box. Turns out the bank didn’t have any left, so the ladies casually ran errands with a pouch holding $32k in CASH! Note (not a good idea EVER).
Anyways, after running errands they stopped for dinner at Applebee’s and as they went home, they left them stacks in the booth they were sitting in!
They didn’t realize the money was missing until they arrived home. One could only imagine that feeling! “Our hearts dropped. I didn’t think we were going to find that money,” said Gonzalez.
Luckily for them, an honest employee found the cash and reported it to their manager, who then called 9-1-1.
Gonzalez said the funds were saved up so she could help pay for becoming a registered nurse, as well as getting her dad a house in Mexico.
The employee who found the money didn’t want to be identified and was just happy they could help restoring the money. What an amazing outcome to a scary situation!
