Teyana Taylor has responded to her ex-husband Iman Shumpert‘s petition for contempt after accusing TT of failing to adhere to the agreement of their divorce. He’s since accused her of violating those terms, as well as accusing her of badmouthing him with racial insults in front of their kids. Iman demanded that Teyana pay $1,000 or face imprisonment for up to 20 days. And whew, sis has since issued a response in court, and this is what she said!

Teyana Shuts Down Iman’s Claims of Violating Their Divorce Agreement
According to court docs obtained by In Touch, Teyana Taylor denied his claims that she “willfully and contemptuously” spilled private details of their divorce settlement. As you’ll recall, on March 19, the ‘Outta My League’ songstress had hopped on Instagram Live to clear her name after folks accused her of being a “gold digger” over what she received in her settlement from Iman.
In new court docs, Teyana also shut down Iman’s allegations that her social media clapbacks caused him financial losses and affected his reputation. Furthermore, she also denied her ex’s claims that she had previously pulled their daughters, Junie and Rue Rose, out of school for “no reason” and allegedly prevented him from picking them up on April 17.
Teyana Says Racial Slur Allegations Are A Lie
Iman’s recent petition also accused Teyana of hurling racial insults at him in front of their kids. His lawyer claimed these alleged attacks stressed out their little ones, forcing them to play “peacemaker” between their parents.
Iman’s legal team called it a “contemptuous violation,” suggesting Teyana was trying to sabotage his bond with their daughters. But in her court filings, she flat out denied ever making those insults to her ex. She’s subsequently calling Iman’s story a whole fabrication and is requesting the court to toss his petition out.
Iman Previously Opened Up About Teyana’s “Hurtful” Accusations
Back in April, during his appearance on the ‘Tap In With TT’ podcast, Iman opened up on how Teyana’s court filings had cut him deep. For instance, she accused him of being a neglectful dad, even going as far as to allege he smoked weed around their kids, per Us Magazine.
Additionally, Teyana alleged Iman showed “extreme narcissistic behavior” during their marriage, according to Complex, which created a toxic environment for her and their daughters. Iman admitted those claims stung, but he’s been trying to rise above the online chatter.
“I don’t think I got mad once until somebody from Chicago did it,” he said, referencing a moment when a comment from his hometown hit a nerve. “Like, Chicago ain’t allowed to do that […] Shut y’all a** up.”
Speaking on his situation with Teyana, he added:
“We had great years, you know what I’m saying? Like, great years together. So, it’s like, I can’t let this now cause it to be negative stuff […] Something happened, they discussing it, but that happened a year ago. Y’all still discussing it, discuss it.”
