This comes after the radio show spent nearly a year inviting guest co-hosts to the program, including rapper Remy Ma. Jess spent much of 2023 alongside its current hosts, Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy. Then, on Dec. 23, she shared her resume update at an event.

In a navy blue gown, Jess spoke about representing her Baltimore City roots as co-host on ‘The Breakfast Club.’

Jess Hilarious Joins ‘The Breakfast Club’ A Year After Angela Yee Left

As mentioned, ‘The Breakfast Club’ hasn’t had a third co-host seat holder since last December. That marked the last month Angela Yee spent on the morning programming. She had announced her departure months earlier in August.

At the time, she revealed she had landed her own nationally syndicated daily show at iHeart Radio and would no longer be hosting with Envy and Charlamagne. Her show is called ‘Way Up with Angela Yee’ and aims to blend rumor reports, interviews, and ‘Ask Yee’ segments.

After the online announcement tease in August, Angela spoke of her new opportunity on ‘The Breakfast Club.’

“It is really exciting,” Angela said. “I mean I honestly can’t believe it. I know it took a long time to make this happen so I want to thank everybody at iHeart.” She added, “I really want to thank, first and foremost, the listeners who are part of our Breakfast Club family. We’ve been doing this for 12 years now, and so this is just a tremendous opportunity.”

Months later, in March, she faced backlash and opposing commentary from DJ Envy when she claimed to be the only woman on ‘The Breakfast Club.’
