Lil Wayne and The Rock are living similar lives this week. Adored entertainers aside, the rapper and actor are in media headlines over their reactions to new wax figures.
Long story short, neither one of them seemed too impressed with what two separate wax museums carved, painted, and presented.
Starting with Wayne, the Hollywood Wax Museum debuted their rendering of the “A Milli” artist in summer 2022, per PEOPLE. But this past weekend, photos of their attempt made their rounds online — eventually landing on Lil Wayne’s feed.

The figure stands short with black and blonde locs that are in serious need of a retwist. He’s cheesing, displaying icey grills to match three chains — two beaded ones. Below the neck, the waxy Wayne had the rapper’s iconic tattoos on full display as his arms held a ripped-open white shirt.
On Monday (Oct. 23), the gracious artist took to X (formerly Twitter) to thank the museum while letting ’em know the wax figure is NOT it.
“Sorry wax museum but dat sh*t ain’t me! You tried tho and I appreciate the effort,” Wayne posted.
The Hollywood Wax Museum has not reacted to Lil Wayne’s rejection. But Lil Wayne’s daughter, Reginae Carter, hopped in The Shade Room’s comment section with a couple of laughing emojis in reaction to her dad’s distaste.
The Rock Asks For Wax Figure Improvements
Meanwhile, The Rock had specific instructions for the creators of his non-look-alike.
For context, though the facial and body features of Rock’s wax figure appear to be on point, the skin color chosen is suffering from melanin dehydration.
The former pro-wrestler told his 391 million Instagram followers on Monday that his team will reach out to the Grévin Museum for tweaks on their new waxy attempt.
“For the record, I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grévin Museum, in Paris France so we can work at “updating” my wax figure here with some important details and improvements — starting with my skin color,” Rock wrote in his Insta-feed caption.
Rock reacted to viral footage of his figure by reposting a comedian’s video about the missed mark. Despite Rock letting Grévin know the art piece needed improvements, he promised to “stop in and have a drink with” himself next time he’s in Paris!
While Lil Wayne and Rock’s wax figures gagged them, Travis Baker seemed to have no complaints about Madame Tussauds’ waxy rendering of him. In an Instagram upload, he encouraged fans to “come say hi” to his “clone” at the museum.
