According to police, the 48-year-old woman was first caught by employees inside a Traverse City liquor store, allegedly drinking alcohol without paying. Officials say she later returned the next day and tried to take a bottle of Chardonnay. Additionally, this prompted the staff to try to intervene. After arresting her, officers discovered the stolen bottle concealed in a body cavity while she was in custody. Authorities then sent her to Munson Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities say this wasnt even her first run-in with the store. Just a day earlier, she allegedly walked into the same Traverse City liquor store and drank a bottle off the shelf around 9 a.m. without paying, before getting caught. Twenty-four hours later, she reportedly returned and tried again, only for the situation to escalate in a way that ended with an arrest, a hospital trip, and multiple charges. She is now facing two counts of retail fraud, one count of smuggling, and trespassingcharges that escalated quickly from a liquor store dispute to a much more serious legal situation.

As things escalated outside, the encounter allegedly turned physical, with the grandfather stepping in and later noticing a handgun on the drivers waistband during the struggle. Police responded and arrested the suspect, identified as Robert Delehant, who now faces multiple charges, including felony harassment, DUI, and assault. The incident is now sparking conversation online, with many pointing out once again how alcohol-fueled behavior can quickly lead to people acting a fool and turning everyday moments into serious situations.
