It seems like 2021 wasn’t too kind to Khloé Kardashian’s love life. And from the looks of things, 2022 is headed the same way—courtesy of former bae Tristan Thompson. Khloé and Tristan have had an on-again, off-again relationship plagued by cheating scandals on Tristan’s part. Weeks ago, a woman named Maralee Nichols filed a lawsuit against Tristan for child support. Following the birth of a baby boy and paternity test results, Tristan publicly admitted to fathering a child with Maralee and apologized to Khloé.
“Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions,” Tristan wrote on his Instagram Story. “Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son.”
Tristan also apologized to everyone who was “hurt or disappointed” throughout the paternity ordeal. His Monday admission comes just weeks after his attempt to get a gag order in place for both parties. Regardless, word got around about their affair.
Tristan previously said that he only had sex with Maralee on his birthday in March 2021. At this time, he was in a public, romantic relationship with Khloé. However, Maralee claimed they became involved at least five months before then. In a recent statement, she clarified they met in 2020 at a party in Tristan’s home. Maralee also said after his birthday weekend in Houston, the NBA player also invited her to Boston.
Tristan revealed in court documents that he only communicated with Maralee via a secret Snapchat account. His reasoning for using the app is because it “automatically deletes messages” after they’re read. He did slam the credibility of a Snapchat message screenshot, in which he apparently suggested an abortion. Maralee later agreed with Tristan that the circulated screenshot was all lies.
“Instead of focusing on any negativity, I am choosing to embrace being a mother and doing the best I can for my son,” Maralee said in her statement. “I do not want any further media attention, nor do I want a romantic relationship with Tristan. My goal is to raise our son in a safe, healthy, loving and private environment.”
Now that the pappy results are in, it seems like Tristan is on the same page as Maralee. In addition to his confession, he penned an apology to Khloé.
“Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years,” Tristan wrote on his Instagram Story. “My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so sorry.”
As of late Monday night, Khloé did not publically respond to the news.
As you may recall, the couple allegedly ended their relationship in May after Instagram influencer Sydney Chase said she slept with Tristan. Reports at that time also say the athlete allegedly spent time with three women in a room at a Bel Air Party. For the first half of 2021, Khloé and Tristan dealt with public accusations by Kimberly Alexander that Tristan fathered her five-year-old son.
