Waffle House Sells Out Of Limited Edition Waffle Mix In 4 Hours—Plans To Restock

#Roommates, by now we all know just how popular beloved restaurant chain Waffle House is, but like most restaurants, they are closed right now. However, the company found a way to satisfy its customers by offering limited edition versions of its popular waffle mix—and although it sold out in mere hours, there are big plans for its return.

@USAToday reports, Waffle House surprised customers by dropping limited edition bags of its prized waffle mix so that they could make them in the comfort of their home since the country is still on coronavirus lockdown. Well, the product a hit online, as it sold out completely in just four hours—a clear sign that Americans have obviously been missing the legendary waffles.

If you’re wondering what comes in each waffle mix order, it includes three bags of the Waffle House mix, which is enough to make 5-6 waffles per bag for only $20. The company updated its customers of the limited edition product being sold out, but assured that “we’re working on a restock.”

Waffle House is one of thousands of restaurants that has been forced to close its doors to traditional dine-in service and is currently only offering take-out for customers. As of March 26th, the company has officially closed 429 restaurants as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread across the U.S. and force residents to self-quarantine and practice social distancing.
