Wendy Williams Reportedly Pushes Back Her Return To Her Show For Another Week—A Panel Will Host In Her Absence

Roommates, we are wishing Wendy Williams a speedy recovery. Earlier this week, it was announced that Wendy’s return to her talk show would be pushed back until January 14th due to a fractured shoulder. Now it looks like she’ll return the following week on January 21st.

According to Variety, distributor and producer Debmar-Mercury confirmed the news on Wednesday. The show, which has been on reruns since December 24th, will return with new episodes on January 14th. However, a panel of “Hot Talkers” will serve in Wendy’s absence.

Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein said, “As she has for the past 10 years, Wendy delivers an incomparable live talk show day in and day out and we want to give her the best opportunity to heal and recover. Wendy has our complete and unwavering support and we look forward to her return to the iconic purple chair.”

Wendy says she suffered from an upper arm injury in late December, which caused her to miss her December 17th taping. However, she returned to work the following day and hosted new episodes throughout that week.

After fans noticed a difference, Wendy posted a statement on the show’s Instagram and said:

On Monday, a statement was posted to the show’s Instagram to announce the first postpone of Wendy’s return.

Panelists for next week’s show are expected to be revealed on Monday.

We continue to wish Wendy Williams a speedy recovery, and we can’t wait to see her return to our TV screens.
