The social media star shared the photos and offered motivation to his followers, describing how refusing to give up helped him overcome obesity. In his caption, he wrote:
“They said I would die from obesity… but I chose to fight for my life instead. It wasn’t easy, and the journey tested me every single day. Progress doesn’t come from wishing it comes from showing up, pushing through, and refusing to give up. More Details On Lil Terrio’s Weight Loss Journey
Lil Terrio is not new to this; he’s been true to it. In 2021, at just 13 years old, he began using social media to share moments from his weight loss journey.
Throughout the journey, Terrio says he got tired of being depressed and sad, which fueled his drive. Now 18, he’s shed over 150 pounds. His dedication is apparent, whether in the gym, hitting weights, or jumping rope. In February 2023, Terrio opened up about the challenges that came with fame at such a young age:
“Being a child star came with a lot of good but also a lot of bad. I was 5 years old when I became famous and I’m 15 now. As I started to get older and mature, it was like all these emotions such as anxiety, depression, even suicidal thoughts hit me hard. It knocked me right on my ass, where I didn’t know if I was a failure, a success, or what was even going on in my life. Even though everything I had been doing with my weight loss journey was positive, I still couldn’t see the light. It was still a dark place for me. I had to take a break and get the mental help I needed.
I’m still not perfect and will have bad days, but I’ve learned coping skills. I’ve learned to take life one day at a time, appreciate the little things, and so much more… I know this is long, but I had to get it off my chest to all my fans and supporters. Now I have to ask y’all… who’s still with me on THIS JOURNEY CALLED LIFE???”
