Chile! The internet streets seemingly have Ayesha Howard cracking up and pointing fingers. This week, the mother of Lil Baby’s eldest son is clearing rumors related to her daughter’s father, Anthony Edwards. Ayesha and the pro-baller have been locked in a child custody and support case for nearly a year now. While her legal team is duking it out in court, she recently took to social media to shut down rumors about receiving a lump sum child support payment from Edwards. The amount of money in question? One million dollars.

What’s The History Between The Co-Parents?
So, here’s how we got here. In October 2024, Ayesha welcomed her second child, a baby girl named Aubri Summer Edwards. This year, fans learned that Edwards had fathered the child and privately suggested an abortion via text messages. After Ayesha declined to do so, things seemingly soured between the lovers. In addition to allegedly ditching her during the pregnancy, per Ayesha, Edwards also demanded a DNA test through the court. In December 2024, the test proved his paternity.
Then, in February of this year, In Touch Weekly reported that Edwards entered court documents declining custody or visitation rights. Instead, he sought only to resolve their “financial” issues, meaning child support. The former lovers have also been tussling over which state their case should be based in, Georgia (where he filed) or California (where she filed).
Ayesha Howard Once Again Says Her Daughter’s Dad Didn’t Pay Her
This week, Ayesha’s social media post marks the second time she’s addressed the $1 million child support rumors. In April, she seemingly called the speculations “lies” on social media before telling The Shade Room: “There are no court documents, motions, or proceedings that have occurred, nor have I been offered or agreed to such terms.” Days later, as the rumors persisted, she returned to social media to slam the “gold digger” jabs.
Months later, she’s still clocking the $1 million lump sum rumors. On September 29, she took to her IG Story and feed to clear the speculations again. She promised fans to do a “story time” on the “paid” social media reports. She claimed “someone” was making it “as though the case was over and handled when it’s very much ongoing and no such payment/agreement has ever happened.” To keep it a buck, Ayesha said, “The payment is nonexistent.”
“And the case is very much open to the public to look into and see that it never happened. Y’all just gullible. It’s funny cause as soon as that rumor was created out of thin air and went viral I was offered money to seal the case from the public to keep that lie going. I refused to seal the case so the truth be public and y’all still ran with the lie,” Howard wrote.
Ayesha Accuses Edwards Of Fraud In New Filing
Before Ayesha addressed the rumors, a judge had granted Anthony Edwards’ motion to dismiss a summons in California. He had previously argued that he hadn’t lived in the state, and only occasionally plays professional ball there with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Edwards also claimed he doesn’t own businesses, entities, or properties in Cali, but a court filing obtained by The Shade Room accuses him of lying. Ayesha and her defense say he has several businesses trademarked and registered in Beverly Hills. Therefore, her lawyers argued that the father tried to manipulate the courts to “avoid accountability in child support.”
