Boosie is keeping it 100% about what real money looks like to him! His comments have sparked mixed reactions! What he’s calling “crumbs” is a yearly salary for some people. In fact, what the rapper calls “crumbs” is at least double the median annual salary of $64,064 in the United States, per the U.S. Dept. of Labor.

Boosie Says $125,000 To $150,000 A Year Is “Crumbs”
Yup! Roommates, that’s the range Boosie called crumbs: $125,000 to $150,000. Six figures, but to the Baton Rouge rapper, that’s not any money. At least not enough to cover his expenses, he says. In a clarification video reposted by The Shade Room, the ‘Wipe Me Down’ artist said that between his own bills and caring for his loved ones, even $150,000 won’t do. He explained his perspective while sitting in a cab, wearing a yellow hoodie and two diamond necklaces, paired with two icy rocks on his earlobes.
Boosie explained that owning several pieces of land, having multiple homes and taking care of his kids all eat into his income. “That ain’t no money to me, man,” he added. $12,500 a month can’t pay his bills, the rapper shared after dividing $150,000 by 12 months. His court-side basketball seats alone cost him $200,000 a year, Boosie said.

“But I guess I understand why people mad…I understand that’s a lot of money to a lot of people, too. At one time, that was a lot of money to me a year. So I was in y’all shoes, too. And if I was still in the hood, on the block…$12K a month that’d be some nice money to me.”
He furthered explained that he was touching $12,000 a month at 15 to 16 years old. Also, he clarified that he’s not capping about getting $130,000 for one show scheduled for February, saying that he’s hot right now. “My shows are outstanding,” the rapper said.
“I just want to let everybody know I meant what I said, I said what I meant. That ain’t no bag to me,” Boosie said.
Social Media Weighs In On The Explanation
As mentioned, Boosie spun the block with this latest video about income after already receiving mixed reactions to calling up to $150,000 “crumbs.” This new clip was just about standing on business, while attempting to understand the public’s perception. In The Shade Room’s comment section, the roommates appeared to pick sides. Some said Boosie’s budget matches his lifestyle and tax bracket, while others spoke on the “out-of-touch” energy. Others encouraged internet users to mind their OWN pockets.
@thedjaone commented, “Get pass who’s saying it, & listen to what he’s saying! “for him”… moral of the story, worry about you!”
“Y’all really have to remember certain people are in a different tax bracket than you. And that’s okay. His bills add up due to his lifestyle,” @_mar.iah__ said.
“It’s crumbs to a multi millionaire, not somebody living amongst poverty . Most people ain’t even making 30K a year,” @sourdayz wrote.
“His explanation may motivate some people and others may be sour apples 🤷🏼♂️,” @jeremyrobinsonceo added.
@ka.mj311 commented, “So his bills aren’t our bills. So to an extent he is right. 😂 and I’m okay with that. 150k for me vs him is not the same. Hell I don’t even make 100-150k and that’s still crumbs to me.”
@na_rothschild said, “Coming from one of the lowest paid rappers in the game😩. His $ compared to that of Jay-Z, Drake, or Kanye is like dust in the wind😂😂😂.”
@veedachamp added, “Why is this even a discussion? There’s someone wealthier than him calling his money crumbs as well. There’s different stages to this thing call life. Comparison is the thief of joy, just do you!”
“Realistically This is how most rich people feel about middle class/lower class people, but they beg us to keep supporting them: buy their albums, buy their cars, buy their clothes and shoes, come to their concerts, stream their music. All so they can continue to live their rich lifestyle and belittle us regular folks,” @jai_amaru_5 wrote.
@eish.do.it.better added, “I stay out of rich and wealthy people’s business 🤐🤣🤷🏾♀️.”
