Whew! Big Sean said dont play with his nameor his abs. The Detroit rapper is stepping into the chat and shutting down the internet chatter after a fitness influencer tried to throw shade on his six-pack. And yes, were talking about the six-pack yall have been double-tapping since the ‘Blessings’ era.
Yall got Big Sean explaining his abs, now? Chile In a video posted to social media, a fitness influencer and self-proclaimed nutritionist, recently accused Sean of allegedly using steroids or getting cosmetic work done to maintain his sculpted physique. But, Sean came through with receiptsliterally and figurativelymaking it clear his body is all natural. No shame to those who do go the surgical route, but according to Sean, his gains come from years of discipline, consistency, and dedication.
In a response on social media, Big Sean wrote:
Im only speaking for myself I dont know what others do but thats just how my stomach is naturally. I cant believe I even have to say this, but I guess its where we are as a society, cooked.
And, Big Sean came through with another post, saying:
Bro, unfortunately mine are real I got love for the fake community tho, to each is own, but what makes this funnier is this is the way God made me. I just happen to look like a chewed up tootsie roll when Im out of shape lol. But I can only speak for myself I only have to say something because this sh*t is getting out of hand.
The internet is doing what it does bestrunning with the mess in The Shade Room’s Instagram comment section! Screenshots, throwbacks, and side-by-side comparisons of Big Seans abs are flooding timelines like its a full-on investigation. Some folks are defending him with gym selfies of their own, while others are playing body detective.
The Instagram user @bigsean said, “Its cool im a good sport tho lol. plus these old pics so i aint trippin. I been taking care of me n gettin it in. Ill see yall soon ”
One Instagram user @marktaronoburchell commented, “Theyre real. ABs are just overrated. This is what it looks like when you train your abs everyday day & nothing else. ”
Instagram user @iamjoliver410 wrote, “This not weird to yall ? This man made a whole video about a mans abs Im confused ..”
This Instagram user @stevengomillion added, “I photographed him several times and he had great abs back then ”
Meanwhile, Instagram user @justjayson6_ joked, “Drake got Big Sean in trouble too! ”
While, Instagram user @ayedott wrote, “With his lying ahhh ”
And, Instagram user @iam_minicat said, “Yall be worried bout the wrong things in life“
This moment adds to a bigger convo around body image and men in the spotlight. Just last week, Drake posted a shirtless selfie that sparked similar chatter, and French Montana faced similar accusations a few years ago. But Big Sean aint here for the messy assumptions. Instead, hes using the moment to call out the internet for being quick to judge instead of recognizing real effort and natural results. One thing about Sean Donhe stays quiet, until its time to clear the room.
In a recent video, The Nutrition Narc revealed that his original clip decoding Sean’s alleged fake abs got so popular, that the rapper himself reached out, saying:
“I commented on your video, this sh*t is funny cause that’s the way I was made I just gained Dad weight [and] had to crack down on working out as I got older bro. So my body has gone [through] a lot lol. No surgery though. Can’t believe I have to explain myself,” Big Sean DM’d him.
