Liam Payne’s Memorial Service Details

According to USA Today, the funeral was held in Amersham, England, at St. Mary’s Church. The location is reportedly about half an hour away from London and near his hometown, Wolverhampton.

The family ultimately decided to hold a private memorial service for the singer, so it’s unclear who spoke and what was said. Fans reportedly gathered on the outskirts of the church, and the press set up a media area, per USA TODAY.

What’s Up With The Investigation Into His Death?

Earlier this month, three Argentine officials charged three individuals in connection to the singer’s death. Search warrants were executed in the case, including at the hotel where Liam fell. Additional properties searched were located in Retiro, Tigre, and Lomas de Zamora.

Prosecutors are going after an Argentine “friend” of Liam’s, whom investigators believe provided drugs to Payne. That friend and a hotel housekeeper face charges for dealing drugs. Meanwhile, another “friend” of Payne’s faces a charge related to “abandonment of a person before death.”

Liam Payne died from his injuries after the fall, which included internal and external bleeding. It’s unclear if his parents held an open or closed-casket funeral. R.I.P. Liam!
