Tyler Perry has reunited the star-studded cast for ‘Why Did I Get Married Again,’ the third installment of his ‘Why Did I Get Married’ franchise. This, with a surprise addition: Taraji P. Henson!

For those who can remember, Tyler Perry launched his ‘Why Did I Get Married’ film in 2007 as a film adaptation of his stage play under the same title, per IMDb. Per the outlet, the story focused on “the trials of marriage,” and the first film installment explored “what happens to one family when a sexy young temptress arrives on the scene.” Furthermore, the first film landed a nomination for an NAACP Image Award in 2008. Additionally, it paved the way for Jill Scott to receive a Best Actress nominee at the 2008 BET Awards, as well as Janet Jackson earning the 2008 Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture.

To note, the film also featured Perry as an actor alongside Sharon Leal, Malik Yoba, Richard T. Jones, Tasha Smith, Michael Jai White, Lamman Rucker, and others. The film’s success even spawned its follow-up, released in 2010, ‘Why Did I Get Married Too?’

Over a decade later, fans are still clamoring for another follow-up in the series. And now, Tyler Perry appears to be in the process of making their dreams come true. On Tuesday, September 30, cameras captured Perry alongside his cast on the shores of Lake Como, Italy, filming ‘Why Did I Get Married Again.’

To note, back in July, Perry dropped a slight hint on social media — foreshadowing his plans. Additionally, his post included a screenshot of the upcoming script, and it even tagged the familiar faces seen in prior films.

However, with the photos that were taken on Tuesday, one new face is definitely in the mix: Taraji P. Henson!
