NLE Choppa Issues Public Apology To Mother Of His Son Marissa Da’Nae
On Friday, February 14, NLE took to Instagram to share a clip from his newly released music video, ‘Crescent Moon.’ In the clip, he spit a few bars while addressing Da’Nae directly, apologizing for how he “handled” her heart.
Additionally, NLE shared a caption alongside the clip, reiterating his sentiments to Da’Nae.

It may feel long overdue, but I feel today was divine to get this message to you ! You’re not crazy, nor delusional, your feelings are valid, and will forever be heard even when you think they aren’t. Social Media Reacts To The Rapper’s Apology To The Mother Of His Son
Marissa Da’Nae hasn’t publicly reacted to NLE Choppa’s vulnerable apology. However, social media users did step into The Shade Room’s comment section to share their reactions.
While Instagram user @kngszn added, “This is gimmicky and disingenuous, real apologies aren’t used as marketing tools. This should have been solely for her and most importantly been fortified by ACTION. Judging by these comments people still haven’t learned that words are hollow without intentional actions behind them, no matter how sweet they are.”
More Details On NLE Choppa & Marissa Da’Nae’s Relationship
As The Shade Room previously reported, things publicly appeared to go left between NLE and Marissa Da’Nae in September 2022. At the time, she emotionally revealed they had broken up. To note, Da’Nae was 27 and NLE was 19.
In April of the following year, Da’Nae revealed she was pregnant by NLE while simultaneously blasting him for being absent, per The Shade Room. Additionally, Da’Nae claimed she and NLE “never” broke up, and her prior remarks were only a ploy to the public.
Subsequently, NLE doubled down on his single status while appearing for a radio interview, per The Shade Room. Additionally, he revealed that he paid for Da’Nae to undergo IVF and get pregnant after they experienced a miscarriage in 2022. In reaction, Da’Nae confirmed his IVF statements. However, she alleged that NLE made her tattoo his face on her arm in order to undergo the procedure. Additionally, she alleged that he wanted her to sign an NDA and keep her pregnancy private from the public.
In July of that year, NLE was noticeably absent from Da’Nae’s baby shower, per The Shade Room. Despite receiving public criticism for allegedly being a bad father that same month, Da’Nae publicly defended the rapper. Then, in August of that year, Da’Nae gave birth to their son, ChoZen.
