People Magazine Unveils Its Latest Cover Featuring Patrick Dempsey
The outlet unveiled its latest cover on Tuesday, November 8. Dempsey appeared in two separate cover photos for the magazine. Both flaunted the words “finally” next to Patrick Dempsey’s name and a bolded title of “Sexiest Man Alive!”
Additionally, more words about Dempsey were featured on the cover.

The Actor Recalls His Reaction Upon Learning About The Accolade
In an accompanying interview published by PEOPLE, Dempsey explained his “shock” about being acknowledged by the publication. We must note that this is the first time Dempsey has graced the “Sexiest Man Alive” cover, although he’s appeared “countless times” in past issues.
“I was completely shocked, and then I started laughing, like, this is a joke, right? I’ve always been the bridesmaid!” Dempsey told the outlet. “I’d completely forgotten about it and never even contemplated being in this position. So my ego is good.”
Additionally, the 57-year-old actor explained that he’s “glad” he is receiving the recognition “at this point” in his life.
“I’m glad it’s happening at this point in my life,” Dempsey said. “It’s nice to have the recognition, and certainly my ego takes a little bump, but it gives me the platform to use it for something positive.”
