TSR Updatez: Tekashi 69’s Convicted Kidnapper Has Been Denied Early Release By The Same Judge Who Granted Tekashi 69’s Provisional Release

TSR Updatez: There are a lot of strange thangs happening in 2020, but Tekashi 69’s convicted kidnapper being released from jail won’t be one of them.

As we previously reported, Anthony Ellison was seeking to be released from jail, due to his asthma concerns–as it relates to COVID-19.

While that would’ve been a miracle, the same judge, Judge Paul Engelmayer, that granted Tekashi 69’s release has denied his request.

According to All Hip Hop, the prosecutor stated that because of his “participation in a gunpoint kidnapping and robbery,” he is not eligible to be released.

“His leadership role in an incredibly violent gang, his participation in a gunpoint kidnapping and robbery, and his horrific slashing of an unarmed and unsuspecting victim – all illustrate the continuing danger Ellison would pose to the community if his application were granted,” said prosecutor Michael Longyear.

As you know, Tekashi 69 was released just a few weeks ago, by the same judge. At the moment, he is on house arrest but not pose as a threat to society.

“Mr. Hernandez does not pose a danger to the community,” prompting an order for Tekashi’s release but he’s not necessarily a free man. Tekashi will serve the first four months of supervised release on house arrest, and he’ll be forced to wear an ankle monitor at an address approved by his probation officer.

As we previously reported, Anthony Ellison (Harv) and his co-defendant Aljermiah Mack (Nuke) were convicted of kidnapping Tekashi 69. In the footage obtained by police,  the rapper is seen pleading with Ellison and Mack to spare his life. Tekashi offered to pay the duo $100k. He would eventually get away by jumping into a random car.

Ellison was convicted in October of 2019 for the kidnapping and is currently awaiting sentencing. He faces up to 30 years to life.
