Twitch has been on fire in 2025, especially for Black streamers. Two names continue to dominate every conversation: Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed. From record-breaking streams to viral moments, theyve proven theyre the faces of modern streaming. This time, its not their streams making headlines. Many are buzzing after Twitch CEO Dan Clancy explained why he excluded them from his Streamer Mount Rushmore.
On Monday, a clip went around showing Twitch CEO Dan Clancy breaking down his Streamer Mount Rushmore. During the discussion, Dan left out Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed, two of Twitchs biggest stars. If you recall, Kai was previously added to Dans list when the CEO mentioned him during Mafiathon 3. Dan later clarified that he only mentioned Kais name because Kai asked him the question live during the stream.
“It should be more historical. In other words, Kai is big now, but arguably, you are. He asked me, so I had to put him on there. Youre great, but you cant be on the Mount Rushmore yet… Initially, I mentioned Speed, then I was like, ‘Oh, no,’ so I swapped Speed out for Caseoh.”
Folks across social platforms gathered to react to Dan Clancys statement. Many stood behind their internet cousins Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed, saying they deserved more recognition for what theyve done for the app. Others said they were shocked yet not surprised by the CEOs remarks.

Despite not being part of Twitch CEO Dan Clancys “Streamer Mount Rushmore,” Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed have dominated Twitch in 2025. The two delivered streaming marathons that broke records and proved their power on the platform. Kais Mafiathon reached 130K average viewers and 1M+ peak viewers. He gained 1.1 million followers, 1.1 million subscribers, and over 90 million hours watched. That made him the #1-ranked Twitch streamer in the world. iShowSpeeds 24/7 America Tour was another major success. He pulled in 12,000 average viewers, 45,000 peak viewers, 900,000 followers, and 8 million hours watched. These numbers dont just speak, but will forever be cemented in history.
