Drake Gives J. Cole His Flowers & Brings Out GloRilla, Lil Wayne, And More During Dreamville Festival Set

Drake created a festival of his own when the rapper took on the stage at J. Cole’s annual Dreamville Music Festival in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Sunday.

Drake Had A Plethora Of Surprises For Concertgoers At Sunday's Festival

J. Cole and Drake were listed as co-headliners at Sunday’s Dreamville Music Festival. Drake took the stage and performed various hits, including his 2011 single “Headlines.”

As well as his 2015 single, “Know Yourself.”

Drake also performed his 2012 single, “The Motto,” which features a guest verse from Lil Wayne. Then, to the crowd’s surprise, the 40-year-old rapper appeared on stage next to Drizzy.

The “6 God” rapper then left his fans in the hands of “the greatest rapper to ever touch a microphone,” and Wayne went on to perform his singles “Uproar” and “A Milli.”

Drake also surprised guests with a performance from Memphis-bred rapper GloRilla. The 23-year-old performed her breakout single, “F.N.F. (Let’s Go).”

The crowd was then greeted by another surprise guest, Lil Uzi Vert. The Philadelphia-bred rapper then performed his latest single, “I Just Wanna Rock.”

However, Drake couldn’t rap up his set without inviting his most recent collaborator, 21 Savage, to the stage. The pair most recently joined forces on their joint album Her Loss, and Savage performed the singles “Knife Talk” and “Rich Flex” alongside Drizzy.

Drake & J. Cole Shared The Most Commendable Moment Of The Night

Perhaps the most moving moment of the night occurred when Drake and J. Cole shared their mutual respect and admiration for one another.

Drake reportedly gathered the crowd and instructed them to serenade J. Cole with the late Whitney Houston’s 1992 single, “I Will Always Love You.”

While J. Cole made sure to return the flowers to Drizzy with a short, transparent speech recounting his admiration.

“I’m such a fan, and I feel like I’m speaking for all of us when I say this, but we are f*****g wild amazed, blown away by your greatness bro… It gives a n***a chills to see you do this s**t at the highest level, non-stop and constantly serve us and bless us with the f*****g soundtrack to our lives.”

Cole reiterated that he remains “blown away” by Drake’s “greatness,” and then the two warmly embraced before Drake exited the stage.

The 38-year-old then closed the festival with a performance of his 2014 single, “No Role Modelz.”
