Tory Lanez isn’t letting up as his legal team keeps fighting to overturn his federal case involving the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. In recently revealed texts, he allegedly dropped some more details about what went down the night of the shooting incident. The rapper is doubling down, claiming he’s innocent, and tossing blame on Kelsey Harris.

Tory Lanez Allegedly Stands On Innocence In 2020 Shooting
On a recent episode of Jason Lee’s podcast, he shared an alleged text conversation between him and Tory Lanez. While chopping it up, Jason claimed that Tory said he’s “preparing to physically come home this year, ” though he didn’t give an exact date. Tory reportedly told Jason Lee he always knew he was innocent and believed the trial brought enough evidence to show he wasn’t involved in the shooting. Jason hit him back, asking why he admitted to something he didn’t do.
“It’s honestly a bunch of suppressed evidence that was kept away from me during trial. Like, through trial they keep saying it was inconclusive on the gun DNA, but I always knew I never touched the gun, so I asked my lawyer to retest it. And sure enough… I was a 102% excluded completely, from everything just like I said,” Tory Lanez allegedly wrote.
Additionally, Tory reportedly claimed Meg’s former friend, Kelsey Harris, fired the gun, but he took the charge to keep her out of trouble. “I never said nothing and ate the ten years for them to live. Crazy place we live in.”
“I took the rap for Kelsey, never wanted her to go to jail and I never wanted Megan to get hurt or anything, so in me stopping her from getting shot I got the raw deal. Crazy how life works and to think they made me the poster boy for the un-protection of Black women. When in all honesty I protected two Black women,” he continued.
New Alleged Twist Renews Interest In Tory’s Case
Jason Lee’s reported text conversation with Tory popped up just after Unite The People hosted a press conference on May 14, where they dropped fresh claims about his case. UTP’s lead legal consultant, Walter Roberts, said a bodyguard who drove Kelsey Harris has come forward. The guard revealed that he overheard Kelsey’s private calls, during which she allegedly admitted to being Meg’s shooter. James also told the team he stepped forward because he couldn’t keep “watching a man sit in prison for something he didn’t do.” Roberts added that the bodyguard remembered Kelsey saying she had the gun during a phone call.
“She had the gun, she fired it [three times]. Mr Peterson (aka Tory Lanez), grabbed her arm and knocked it down and the gun fired two more times,” Roberts said the bodyguard explained.
Roberts also said these details back up that Tory played no role in the shooting.
“This further iterates that Mr. Peterson did not shoot Ms. Megan Pete, did not shoot at Ms. Pete or did not assault Ms. Pete. It’s just another irregularity in a list of irregularities in this case,” Walter Roberts continued.
Update On Tory Lanez Following Prison Attack
Tory’s dad, Sonstar Peterson, made an appearance at UTP’s press conference, where he gave an update on his son. In a clip Fox Los Angeles shared, Sonstar spoke on how Tory’s holding up after another inmate, Santino Casio, who is doing a life bid, stabbed him 14 times on May 12. Tory was immediately rushed to the hospital after it all went down. Sonstar addressed the crowd and assured fans that despite the attack and wounds, Tory is “recovering remarkably.”
